PRETORIA (VNS)— Dozens of Hanoian goods such as handicrafts, clothes, food and motorcycles are on display at the ongoing 20th Southern African International Trade Exhibition (SAITEX 2013) in Johannesburg.
The presence of Viet Nam's capital at SAITEX 2013, the largest multi-sectoral fair in Africa, aims to promote trade and exports to Africa in general and South Africa in particular.
The Ha Noi booth has attracted a great number of visitors interested in soy-bean oil, motorcycles and products made from buffalo horns.
"The attention we are getting shows that these products can penetrate the African market," said deputy director of the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Van Dong.
SAITEX 2013, which opened on Sunday, is the largest of its kind held so far with more than 1,000 companies from 45 participating nations.
The three-day annual event, which bridges producers, exporters, importers and distributors of consumer goods, is expected to draw over 15,000 visitors.-VNS
